Ingredients

  • 1 cup Ube Puree — prepared by mixing Purple Origins Ube powder with warm water (80–90°C, not boiling)
  • 2 cups cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 graham cracker crust

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
  4. Fold in Ube puree gently.
  5. Pour into crust and bake for 50 minutes.
  6. Cool completely before serving.
Ube Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Ube Puree — prepared by mixing Purple Origins Ube powder with warm water (80–90°C, not boiling)
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Whisk together cream, milk, sugar, and salt until sugar dissolves.
  2. Stir in Ube puree and vanilla.
  3. Chill mixture for 2 hours.
  4. Pour into ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer instructions.
  5. Freeze for 4 hours before serving.
Ube Pandesal

Soft Filipino bread rolls with a hint of Ube.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Ube Puree — prepared by mixing Purple Origins Ube powder with warm water (80–90°C, not boiling)
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • Breadcrumbs for coating

Instructions

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm milk and let sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Add yeast mixture, Ube puree, butter, and egg. Knead until smooth.
  4. Let dough rise for 1 hour.
  5. Shape into small rolls and coat with breadcrumbs.
  6. Let rise for 30 minutes, then bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15 minutes.

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin.
  2. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, then Ube puree and vanilla.
  4. Mix flour and baking powder, then alternate adding with milk.
  5. Fill cupcake liners 2/3 full.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
